Balinese artists and designers joined forces to make plastic wall tiles at Old Man’s. People visiting the beautiful island often leave behind waste like plastic bottles. The venue collected a whopping 36,000 plastic bottles from the ocean and stunning beaches in Bali and transformed what people deemed useless to them into a lovely piece of art that will stay with Old Man’s. Artist and illustrator Justine Missen, Bejo Painting Shop, and Della Santa Studios were a part of this project and helped bring the recycled plastic wall tiles to fruition. “Our goal is to reduce waste and give every single-use plastic an everlasting second life,” states Old Man’s in a post shared on Instagram.
