Ziro Festival
When: September 26 – September 29, 2024
Where: Ziro Valley, Arunachal Pradesh
Lauded as “India’s Greatest Outdoor Music Festival,” Ziro Festival is set to be held from September 26 – 29, 2024. Some of the best musical talents from India as well as the independent music scene worldwide will make an appearance at this multi-stage festival. Mumbai’s rapper Saniya MQ, Nepali singer Sushant KC, jazz musician Saskia Laroo from the Netherlands, Arunachal Pradesh’s Carolina Norbu, and Solace Her of Manipur, and more will open the festival. Ziro will also see performances from the ‘Big Dawgs’ hitmaker Hanumankind, Tmikrest, Sutej Singh, Dabzee, Sarthak Mudgal & Airbass, and more.
Rock band Parvaaz, Flux Vortex, Sadagar Debbarma, Amateur Takes Control, and Alboe are among those on the bill for Day 2 of the festival. Sweden-based psychedelic rock outfit Hollow Ship, Aayna (DJ Set), Gowwli, and Parikrama are some of the thrilling acts that will conclude the memorable festivities on September 29. This eco-friendly event will be held at the beautiful and refreshing Ziro Valley in Arunachal Pradesh. Made from locally sourced materials like bamboo and with its other sustainability practices, Ziro Festival is making efforts towards making this planet a better place to live in.

Zamna India
When: September 28 and September 29, 2024
Where: Nesco, Mumbai, and Gymkhana Club, Gurugram
Zamna is bringing its magic to India for the very first time this September! The festivities will commence in Mumbai on September 28 at the Nesco Center, whilst the event in Gurugram will be held at the Gymkhana Club on September 29. Berlin-based Mind Against heads the bill, alongside New York-based DJ/producers and Indo Warehouse founders Kahani and Kunal Merchant. The debut edition of Zamna India also includes Argentinian DJ/producer Shall Ocin and house, techno duo Animal Picnic and a live set from Italian composer, musician, and multi-instrumentalist Giorgia Angiul.

Jodhpur Rajasthan International Folk Festival
When: October 16 – October 20, 2024
Where: Mehrangarh Fort, Jodhpur
If you’re seeking to immerse yourself in traditional folk music, then this international roots music festival is the one for you. Taking place on Sharad Purnima – a festival celebrated on the full moon day – the Jodhpur Rajasthan International Folk Festival will see the moon shine down upon the attendees at the Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Artists and musicians from different parts of the world will gather at the Mehrangarh Fort for a spellbinding display of their talent at a beautiful location. Ever since its inception in 2007, the Jodhpur Rajasthan International Folk Festival has welcomed hundreds of artists from countries far and wide who have performed before thousands of people at this music, cultural, and art affair.

K-Wave Festival
When: October 18 and October 20, 2024
Where: Mumbai and Bengaluru
For those who enjoy K-pop, K-Wave not only offers a wonderful musical experience but also hosts workshops, tasty food stalls, taekwondo, fashion, and more! The festival was held in Bengaluru last year; however, K-Wave will also be heading to Mumbai in 2024! K-Wave took to social media to announce that the 2024 festival will be held in Mumbai on October 18 and will conclude on October 20 in Bengaluru. The second edition of this open-air festival is set to open its doors to South Korean singer-songwriter Hyolyn and EXO’s leader, SUHO! The complete lineup has yet to be announced. Kim Woojin, X:IN, and Serein were on the bill last year.
DGTL India
When: November 8 – November 9, 2024, and November 9 – November 10, 2024
Where: Nesco Center, Mumbai / Jayamahal Palace, Bengaluru
DGTL India returns for its 2024 edition to Mumbai’s NESCO Center and the Jayamahal Palace in Bengaluru this November. A treat for dance music fans, DGTL Mumbai will see dancefloor rattling sets from Chase & Status, German DJ/producer Parra for Cuva, Palestinian techno DJ/producer Sama Abdulhadi, German techno and trance DJ/producer and label head Stephan Bodzin, Swiss DJ/producer and multi-instrumentalist Jimi Jules, Dutch DJ/producer Nicky Elisabeth, Yung Singh, Ben Klock, Kiss Nuka, and more from November 8 – 9. DGTL India festivities continue in Bengaluru from November 9 – 10 with Kollision, Chippy Nonstop, Browncoat, Praveen Achary, and DJ/producer Midnight Traffic, among others on the roster.
Cherry Blossom Festival
When: November 15 – November 16, 2024
Where: Shillong, Meghalaya
Cherry Blossom Festival is a two-day music festival with over 100 artists performing across three stages before 60,000 attendees. The 2024 edition of the festival is scheduled to take place at the RBDSA Sports Complex, Madan Kurkalang, Bhoirymbong in Shillong, Meghalaya, from November 15 – November 16, 2024. Cherry Blossom has unveiled the first line-up for the 2024 festival, featuring headliners disco group Boney M. and Dutch-Moroccan DJ/producer R3hab. Ludhiana-born singer-songwriter Jasleen Royal, who boasts hits like ‘Ranjha’ and ‘Heeriye’ under her belt, Queen tribute band Queen Sensation, Korn SK, and singer Kanika Kapoor will hit the festival stage this November. The Great Society, singer-songwriter Jessie Lyngdoh, roots reggae band Dewdrops, Wanbhaa, Arpan, and Reble have also been tapped for the Cherry Blossom Festival. More artists performing at the festival will be announced soon.

Independence Rock (I-Rock)
When: November 16 – November 17, 2024
Where: Mumbai
Independence Rock (I-Rock) returns to Mumbai for another amazing outing. “Listen up! It’s time to dust off your raging black gears ‘cuz we are so coming back! Crank up your growling spirit and block your calendars coz things gonna get wilder from here. See you on 16th-17th November, 2024! Stay tuned,” the festival wrote on Instagram while announcing the 2024 edition. The festival has yet to unveil the line-up or reveal any further information. Last year, metal band Bhayanak Maut, Delhi-based rock band Parikrama, Underside, Bangalore-based multiple award-winning contemporary carnatic rock group Agam, Gutslit, Mama Tips and The Mama Bois, and more were on the bill. About 3,500 festival-goers flocked to Bayview Lawns in Mazgaon, Mumbai, for the 29th edition of the Mahindra Independence Rock (Mahindra I-Rock) festival in 2023.

Bandland 2024
When: November 23 – November 24, 2024
Where: Nice Grounds, Bengaluru
Bengaluru, brace yourself! A bunch of exciting acts are headed your way for Bandland 2024. American heavy metal band Avenged Sevenfold and rock band Extreme are due to co-headline the event. Heavy metal band from New Delhi – Bloodywood, Mumbai’s Zero, English group Everything Everything, Chennai-born percussionist Selvaganesh, and indie musician Dot. are set to grace the festival stage at Nice Grounds. Multi-genre band Thaikkudam Bridge, Bangalore-based folk-rock outfit Swarathna, Lebanese rock band The Wanton Bishops, Big Special, singer-songwriter Raman Negi, Bhayanak Maut, and guitarist, composer, and songwriter Sutej Singh complete the line-up.
Magnetic Fields
When: December 6 – December 8, 2024
Where: Alsisar Mahal, Rajasthan
The Alsisar Mahal in Rajasthan will be decked up this December for the 10th edition of Magnetic Fields. The festival is scheduled for December 6, 7, and 8. On the line-up for this milstone event are Italo-German composer, DJ/producer David August who will be offering a live set, Jane Fitz, Ecuadorian producer Nicola Cruz, Midland, and London-based British Pakistani DJ/producer Ahadadream. Berlin-based Peruvian DJ/produdcer Sofia Kourtesis, Yazzus, Rhythm Section label and party founder Bradley Zero, Nikki Nair, and Tom VR, among other renowned acts will also head to Rajasthan for Magnetic Field’s 10th anniversary this December. Echoes of Earth
When: December 7 – December 8, 2024, and February 1, 2025 – February 2 – 2025
Where: Bangalore and Goa
Billed as “India’s Greenest Music Festival,” Echoes of Earth will take place in two installations, with the first event in Bangalore this December 7 – 8 and the Goa festival happening next year on February 1 and 2. The festival also took to Instagram to unveil the first wave of artists that are scheduled to hit the Echoes of Earth stage in Bangalore. English electronic music duo Mount Kimbie, FRENCH79, Canadian trio Cobblestone Jazz, SVDP, Dam Swindle, and more will bring their tunes to the fiery dancefloor of Echoes of Earth. The festival is also set to welcome the likes of Y?N Y?N, New York-based guitarist, producer, and composer Shubh Saran, one-man band from France – Waagal, Jay Carder, and Hamza Rahimtula & Rajasthan Folkstars, among others.
Orange Festival Of Adventure And Music
When: December 13 – December 15, 2024
Where: Arunachal Pradesh
Get an amazing mix of adventure, music, and culture of Arunachal Pradesh at the Orange Festival of Adventure and Music this December! Although the line-up has yet to be announced, the excitement about the festival is still up, as Orange Festival is known to host wonderful talents. Neeraj Shridhar, singer and composer Lesle Lewis, folk fusion band from Tripura – Koloma, singer-songwriter, producer, and composer Dorwin from Mumbai, Pune-based independent band Easy Wanderlings, Ritviz, and hardcore punk band The Riot Peddlers have all taken the Orange Festival of Adventure And Music stage in 2023.

Sunburn
When: December 28 – December 30, 2024
Where: Goa
India’s renowned festival Sunburn returns this December to wrap the year with a bang! Taking place from December 28 – 30, you can nicely finish your music festival calendar with this one. Swedish DJ/producer Alesso is due to headline this EDM festival in Goa. Get ready to be blown away by captivating sets from KSHMR, UK-based DJ/producer Argy, and Kasia, who offers an awesome mix of house and techno.

Lollapalooza India
When: March 8, 2025 – March 9, 2025
Where: Mumbai
Lollapalooza India returns for its third edition in Mumbai, India, next year on March 8 – 9. Pop star Shawn Mendes and Glass Animals are set to headline the festival on March 8, while former One Direction member Louis Tomlinson and the iconic rock band Green Day will take the headliners slot at Lollapalooza India stage on the second day of the festival. The festival is also set to host dance music acts Zedd, John Summit, Alok, and SPRYK.
Big Boi, Minneapolis-based guitarist, producer, and songwriter Cory Wong, English rock band Nothing but Thieves, Cuban-American singer-songwriter Isabel LaRosa, Norwegian singer-songwriter Aurora, South Korean indie rock band wave to earth, Sid Vashi, and Philadelphia-based duo Lullanas will be heading to Mumbai for the 2025 edition of Lollapalooza India next year.
The festival is also set to host Talwiinder, Dot., ‘Big Dawgs’ hitmaker Hanumankind, Dhanji, Raftaar x KR$NA, and sitar player and music composer Niladri Kumar. Sahil Vasudeva, singer-songwriter Lisa Mishra, Anushka, Delhi-based singer-songwriter Raman Negi, Raghav Meattle and Mumbai-based singer/profucer Sudan complete the line-up.
