Artists Who Have Featured in Calvin Klein Campaigns

Calvin Klein recently announced that Blackpink’s Jennie will be teaming up with the fashion lifestyle brand for a limited-edition capsule collection. It will be available on Calvin Klein’s website as well as in their select stores from May 10 onwards. “Collaborating with Calvin Klein on this capsule has been an exciting progression in our partnership. This collection reflects my everyday style and is based on many of the Calvin Klein essentials that have become staples in my wardrobe,” Jennie said in a press release as per InStyle.

“I wanted to bring a personal touch to these pieces, which you’ll see reflected in the fit, the color palette and the details. My aspiration for this collection is that everyone will feel as happy and confident in these pieces as I do,” the Blackpink star, who is the global ambassador for Calvin Klein, added. The brand also shared photos and videos of the singer sporting items from the collection, which comprises of tees, underwear seats, denim, and more. The pastel-colored palette has been curated by Jennie.

In the past few years, many artists have worked with Calvin Klein as their brand ambassadors, featured in their campaigns, or modeled and stripped for the brand’s campaigns. From BTS’ Jungkook to Honey Dijon, let’s take a look at some of the artists affiliated with Calvin Klein –

Jungkook

The members of the South Korean group BTS are bagging solo deals with luxury brands, one of them being Jungkook, who was named global ambassador for Calvin Klein’s jeans and underwear in March.

“Jung Kook is one of the world’s most popular artists; he possesses a rare ability to connect with international audiences through both his music and his style. We’re fortunate and excited to have him join the Calvin Klein team,” Calvin Klein’s CMO Jonathan Bottomley said

The ‘Butter’ singer donned a number of denim outfits for Calvin Klein’s Spring 2023 collection, which features a relaxed fit denim shirt, a relaxed fit standard logo crewneck tee, ‘90s straight denim, an oversized denim jacket, and more.

“I have been a fan of Calvin Klein for a long time, and I’m thrilled to be their newest global ambassador. This partnership is very special, as Calvin Klein’s heritage and brand values resonate with me,” says Jungkook, as per Harper’s Bazaar Singapore. “My music is how I communicate with my fans around the world, and I see this partnership as an opportunity to connect with them in a new way. I’m incredibly excited for people to see a new side of me in this first campaign for the brand.”

FKA Twigs

FKA Twigs appeared in the Calvin Klein Spring 2023 campaign ‘Calvins or Nothing’ videos in March. Other celebrities part of this campaign are English actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson, K-pop supergroup Blackpink’s Jennie, model Kendall Jenner, and ‘Black Panther’ actor Michael B. Jordan. The English singer-songwriter even teased an unreleased song ‘Good to Love’ in a campaign clip for the brand at the time.

This collection sees Tahliah Debrett Barnett, widely known as FKA Twigs, strip down as she rocks Calvin Klein underwear. This campaign highlighted their new ultra-high cropped wide-leg jeans and sculpted denim bra.

“it’s an honour to be the new face of calvin klein and to have worked so closely with my dear friends @mertalas and @macpiggott to create something that i believe reflects me as a woman and artist,” she wrote on Instagram. “these pictures and visuals are a physical representation to remind myself that being strong to the best of one’s personal ability will never go out of fashion.”

Troye Sivan

Troye Sivan was tapped for Calvin Klein’s Feel Pride campaign earlier this year. The Australian singer was shot by Joe Brennan in Sydney, as Sivan posed wearing cropped sweater and trunks. This collection also includes triangle bras, trunks, bikini briefs, bralettes, and thongs in different colors and features a special capsule collection with Worimi Biripi artist Jake Simon.

A portion of proceeds will go to BlaQ Aboriginal Corporation to support the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander LGBTQI+ community. “When I went to my first ever Pride parade, my parents came with me. That just felt like a big moment for me,” the ‘Strawberries & Cigarettes’ singer shared in a video posted by Calvin Klein.

Honey Dijon and King Princess

DJ/producer and electronic musician Honey Dijon, singer-songwriter King Princess, and Venezuelan producer and musician, among other artists, starred in Calvin Klein’s LGBTQIA+ campaign #proudinmycalvins in 2021. It featured queer and trans artists and celebrated their defining moments and journey.

“The first time in my life that someone had seen me before I saw myself… It was another trans woman that said to me, ‘You belong in a skirt.’ I realized at that moment that I could exist,” Honey said while speaking about her experience and feelings of comfort she felt within the queer and trans communities.

This global campaign featured key pieces from Calvin Klein’s Pride 2021 capsule and partnered with non-profit organizations, including The Trevor Project and Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund to support the LGBTQI+ community all around the world. The pride capsule comprised Calvin Klein crewneck sweatshirts, cotton bralettes, truckers, boxer briefs, cropped T-shirts, and denim bottoms.

The ‘1950’ singer King Princess said she “started to realize that I was part of this tapestry of queer people that have made really powerful, moving work. When I realized that, everything made sense.”

Megan Thee Stallion

Megan Thee Stallion was the face of Calvin Klein’s Spring 2021 campaign Black Canvas alongside stars including ‘Euphoria’ actor Jacob Elordi, Jamaican singer-songwriter Koffee, actor and singer Anthony Ramos, and Rina Sawayama. The collection featured underwear, trucker jackets, tees, and cotton rib tanks.

“I really liked that swag in the early ’90s, when I would see the old campaigns for the jeans or the Calvin Klein underwear and bras. When I grew up, I was like, ‘one day, I want to [model for Calvin Klein]— I don’t know how I’m gonna do it, but I want to do it.'” the ‘Sweetest Pie’ rapper recalled her dream of modeling for the brand. She posed for the campaign shoot delivering sickening looks in a black bra and brief sets, leaving our jaws on the floor. Whew!

Justin Bieber

Bieber was named brand ambassador of Calvin Klein in 2015. Of course, everyone has seen photos of Justin Bieber rocking Calvin Klein undies and flaunting the luxury brand’s waistbands. The ‘Peaches’ hitmaker first landed a CK gig in 2015, sporting their briefs alongside model Lara Stone.

He also posed for Calvin Klein’s Spring 2016 campaign with rapper Kendrick Lamar, Kendall Jenner, ‘Trap Queen’ rapper Fetty Wap, and FKA Twigs, among other celebrities. Justin returned to the brand years later with his wife, Hailey Bieber. From dancing to steamy makeout sessions, the Biebers teamed up for Calvin Klein’s 50th Anniversary campaign in 2019.

SZA, Maluma, Lil Nas X, Justin Bieber, and More

Calvin Klein tapped Justin Bieber, Kendall Jenner, Colombian singer Maluma, ‘Euphoria’ star Hunter Schafer, Lil Nas X, and ‘Kill Bill’ singer SZA for the brand’s “Deal With It” #MyCalvins campaign. “Blessed to be in the New @calvinklein campaign 2020 ??? #DEALWITHIT #MYCALVINS,” SZA shared on Instagram.

The collection featured Calvin Klein sports bras, T-shirts, underwear, and denim. “I think the real strength is putting yourself out there. Whether that’s in your music or just life in general. I’m vulnerable, and I think that’s a good thing,” the ‘Stitches’ singer said in a clip for the I SPEAK MY TRUTH IN #MYCALVINS campaign. He added: “I think the younger version of me would be pretty proud. I speak my truth in my Calvins.”

“I never want the world to know everything about me. I mean, that’s why I wear big, baggy clothes. Nobody can have an opinion because they haven’t seen what’s underneath. Nobody can be like, ‘Oh, she’s slim-thick, she’s not slim-thick, she’s got a flat ass, she’s got a fat ass. No one can say any of that because they don’t know,” Eilish spoke her truth for the 2019 Calvin Klein campaign.
