A spellbinding branch of activities stretches out at the AUM New Year Festival this December 2024- January 2025, circling music, art, wellness, workshops, and more. For its 10th birthday extravaganza, the festival has now revealed a brand new theme, with more details yet to follow! Built on pillars of community, environmental sustainability, kindness, and integrity, with an idea to create inclusive and diverse gatherings, New Zealand’s distinguished AUM New Year Festival’s upcoming edition will observe its tenth showcase this year. This anniversary display sees the promoters and organizers collating the previous year’s concepts tantalizingly under one umbrella and unveiling AUMNIBUS as its theme.
AUMNIBUS highlights prior spectacles, bringing you back to each setting and illuminating AUM’s journey thus far, with each adventure intricately linked and interwoven. Chalked in for December 30, 2024, until January 2, 2025, at Leighton’s Farm, South Head (an hour away from Auckland), the artist card is set to boast over 200 acts lighting up four stages along with a plethora of activities and workshops sprawled across the 400-acre farm.
Diving through all you can anticipate during the multi-day extravaganza, listed are activities such as fancy dress family events, rejuvenating workshops (healing, yoga, traditional Rongoa Maori), multifarious art installations, fire and glow performances, lighting/projection art, circus acts, wandering trails, and food markets, coupled with an eco-friendly sustainable culture. Breathing life into the music will be over 130 live bands, electronic musicians, and solo artists helming performances on the White Stag (Main Stage), Kanuka Stage (house and techno), Hub Stage (live acts, multi-genre), and The Hill stage (psytrance, drum & bass, bass music).
Mossy, Anna, Steve, and the crew shared a message of gratitude online to their Aumsters. They expressed, “This year is our opportunity to say thank you to all of the incredible humans who have been and are a part of the AUM Festival. You, our supporters are literally a dream come true. The most engaged, caring, helpful, environmentally conscious, and connected audience in the land. Speaking about AUMNIBUS, they remarked, “We decided that for our 10th birthday, we should look back on what we have done together and celebrate each and every story we have told, culminating in where we are now. Welcome to the AUMNIBUS – a collection of the 10 themes we have danced, laughed, held-hands, and made new friends through.”
