Featuring DJ/producer NATE08 as the inaugural artist, Mumbai’s multi-purpose event venue G5A initiates a new late-night series, PORT After Dark, as a platform for experimentation to create an avenue to explore sound, flavor, and taste.
G5A Foundation for Contemporary Culture is a not-for-profit organization that promotes contemporary arts and culture via a plethora of programs and projects ranging from independent cinema, artworks, summits, and live music. Stationed within an old mill area called Girangaon (mill village), this culture hub seeks to nurture a vibrant, safe, and inclusive platform that facilitates the creative and just–in thought and expression.
Upholding its standing as a “home for experimental and independent arts practice,” G5A’s fine dining restaurant Port Kitchen & Bar is set to host the first installment of PORT After Dark blending culinary experimentation with immersive auditory landscapes.
Session 01 of this series will be helmed by bassist/producer and connoisseur of genre-spanning selections NATE08 who swirls productions that draw inspiration from funk, R&B, and house, blending dance with a futuristic tinge. This newest addition kicks off Wednesday, October 23, from 10 PM onwards.
PORT After Dark is conceived for folks who wish to explore this unique transition, inviting guests to pull up a chair, sip a thoughtfully crafted cocktail, and listen closer to the world around them. This late-night
series serves as a medium for experimentation, where every session promises a fresh approach to sound, flavor, and the overall sensory experience.
G5A’s other performance venue, Black Box, also recently served up Baroda-based multifaced artist Shashwat Bulusu in a captivating night of storytelling. Bulusu delivered an enthralling performance throughout, presenting his latest album ‘Fitrat’ in a theatre-style production.
