An organization named after a popular Indeep track that seeks to improve the lives of destitute children all over the world, DJs who leave the stage to cook for the homeless, and a non-profit group that uses Liquid Drum and Bass to boost awareness about Autism.

Set for Love
Last Night A DJ Saved My Life is a nonprofit organization located in Sussex, England. One of its fundraising initiatives is ‘Set for Love’. It was created in 2019 as an event where DJs and musicians band together and perform their ‘set for love’ while raising funds and spreading awareness for any of the foundation’s initiatives. During the pandemic, the sessions were held online with over 10,000 established and emerging DJs from over 80 countries contributing their sets and raising donations.
Available on their YouTube channel for viewing are streams that feature the likes of DJ Carl Cox, techno house DJ Daniel ‘Eats Everything’ Pearce, DJ and music producer Amber D, breakbeat artist Martin ‘Krafty Kuts’ Reeves, and dubstep DJ Marc ‘Chef’ Weis, whose set took place inside the back of a moving taxi.
The charity also accepts donations in cryptocurrency.

DJ Empress
DJ, actor, and music producer Christina Empress, also known as DJ Empress, streamed a charity set for the Drum & Bass Awards Charity event in July 2020 to raise money for the National Health Service. Still available to stream on YouTube, the hour-long session has over 11,000 views at the time of writing and features mixes of tracks ‘Run to You’, ‘Ghosts’, and ‘Emissions’.
Other acts that also live-streamed sets include Makoto, London Elektricity, Logan D & Eksman, and Hybrid Minds.
A nod to Star Wars to Star Wars is also included in the video, with a crawl text describing the camera’s malfunction until it resumes streaming.

Rave to Save is a fundraising app that uses dance to support Europe’s nightlife and club venues. The app donates EUR 1 to clubs that shut down during the lockdown for every 1000 steps taken during each virtual live stream party.

Seth Troxler
When he isn’t keeping the crowd moving with his music, American DJ Seth Troxler is a foodie and an avid cook. Seth Troxler, together with the philanthropic organization 10,000 Hours Foundation and the electronic music platform and festival Amsterdam Dance Event, cooked meals for a homeless shelter in 2016. He prepared a three-course lunch with volunteers and served it to the homeless individuals of Amsterdam’s social services organization, De Regenboog Groep.
Also in the kitchen for this cause were Danish electronic musician Rune ‘Kölsch’ Reilly and Dutch electronic DJ Tom Trago.
Liquid Drum & Bass 4 Autism
Liquid Drum & Bass 4 Autism is a non-profit organization that aims to generate awareness and funds for treatment, research, and parent training in order to improve the lives of children with Autism. In 2020, the charity released a compilation liquid DnB album titled ‘Redefining The Spectrum Of Liquid Drum & Bass Music’. It contains forty-two tracks and features drum & bass artists Phil Tangent, Furney, Random Movement, Colossus, and many others.
Donations or purchases of the nonprofit organization’s albums or tracks assist them in raising awareness, funds, and providing support to persons affected by Autism. Liquid Drum & Bass 4 Autism is based in Queens, New York.

Drum and Bass Charity album for Ukraine
In response to the crisis in Ukraine, the drum & bass community banded together to make a digital compilation album titled ‘Together With Ukraine’. The album includes 136 tracks and 33 original artworks. So far, as shared on Bandcamp, the album has received GBP 80,000 in donations. All funds generated will be donated to the Ukrainian Red Cross.
Drum and bass artists that contributed to the tracklist include New Zealand’s duo The Upbeats, Sam ‘Tokyo Prose’ Reed, Dutch musical trio Noisia, IMANU, and Belfast’s DJ Calibre, to name a few. Commenting on the release, The Upbeats shared via Instagram, “Amazing to see the D&B scene coming together to show their support for Ukraine. All proceeds from the release go to the Ukrainian Red Cross. ??”.
