Wollongong’s The Icon is gearing up to host the Sydney-based DJ/producer Thierry D, who has had releases on Audio Overload Jungle Records and UK-based jungle DnB label Jungle Cakes for Gong Bass Vol. 1. Also on the bill is Lil Rich, and drum & bass DJ and Bondi Radio Presenter Kate Savage. “aaaaand another one! Lining ’em up for when we get back from London 😀 Australia Day Long Weekend – make a weekend of it! Awesome line up of legends, it’s going to go off!! See you there :D” Kate announced on Instagram.
Klerikal, Grime DJ/producer and MC Mobstar, and DJ/producer and musician HJ Stefan will also play at Gong Bass Vol. 1 on January 26. You can expect to “hear some heavier unreleased tunes if you catch my set,” HJ Stefan shared on Instagram. Fiyahplace Promotions has tapped JViggy, Websta, and D-Tech as MCs for the evening.

Located at 10 Town Hall P in Wollongong, New South Wales, The Icon serves expertly crafted cocktails and offers dancefloor bangers from DJs, Thursdays to Saturdays from 11 AM until the late hours of the night. The Icon’s happy hour runs from 4 PM – 7 PM. With their amazing drinks, scrumptious food, and awesome vibes, you are bound to have a wonderful time! For all the R&B lovers out there, RnB Fridays commence at 8 PM at The Icon. As per their Instagram, they also have a “Party room for FREE hire.”
