Medasin to Announce Release Date of Third Studio Album
A new album from Medasin is on the way! Medasin, the stage name of Grant Nelson, took to Instagram to announce that he will be revealing the release date of his upcoming album soon. “hey. I am delighted to inform u that my album & singles officially have release dates ?And the release dates are very extremely mega soon ? and I’m going to release these release dates really soon,” he wrote on Instagram.
“I can’t wait to show u and tell u about this body of work and the era of my life this work sprouted from. And to just connect with you guys again creatively man I miss having my ideas perceived and feeling understood,” Medasin’s caption on the Instagram post read. He added: “You will be showered in new medasin sonics for the rest of the year. you won’t be able to get rid of me. Bless u all I hope u are healthy and winning and vibing.”
Medasin’s sophomore album ‘RIPPLS,’ a fourteen-track record came out in 2020. This will be his first album in almost three years. He hasn’t released any new music since his last album.
Hunni Sound Announces Workshop Series
Hunni Sound is bringing four remarkable guest speakers for a series of workshops this year focusing on women, non-binary, and transgender people. The first of the four workshops will be held on 22 February with Giulia Tess at Dalston Superstore. She will host a music production workshop, while Kiimi, the founder of Hunni Sound, will do a Sound for Visual Media session on March 29.
The Radio Presenting and Production workshop with Jess Iszatt is on April 19 and the final event for Navigating a Career As A DJ with Jaguar is scheduled for May 31. “Calling all WOMEN, NON-BINARY and TRANS MUSIC PRODUCERS! It is with great pleasure that we announce our brand new workshop series, HUNNI SOUND ACADEMY,” Hunni Sound shared on Instagram.
Eliza Rose Announces UK, Europe, and Australia Tour 2023
Eliza Rose will head to the UK, Europe, and Australia for her tour this year! She has announced the dates, cities, and venues for her upcoming tour via social media. The UK and EU leg of the tour commences next month at The Colour Factory in London on March 17 with stops in Barcelona (March 24), Lisbon (March 25), Amsterdam (March 31), Paris (April 1), Glasgow (April 6), before the final date of this leg of the tour, April 8 in Brighton.
So far nine dates have been announced for Eliza Rose’s Australia Tour 2023. “V v v v excited to announce my first ever UK, EU, and Australia tour. First London show since the BOTA wave, spinning vinyl at some of my fave dancefloors across Europe + live/” the English DJ/producer wrote on Instagram while revealing the dates of her forthcoming tour.
Rose’s latest release is ‘B.O.T.A. (Baddest Of Them All)’ with Interplanetary Criminal and she also scored two nominations at the 2023 BRIT Awards.
Sherelle and I.Jordan Announce Collaborative EP
Sherelle and I.Jordan have joined forces to release a collaborative EP on fabric’s label fabric Originals. Their forthcoming split EP comprising of tracks ‘M1, M3,’ and ‘GETOUTOFMYMIND’ releases on February 24. The track ‘GETOUTOFMYMIND’ was rolled out last week.
“‘GETOUTOFMYHEAD’ came about from a melody that I had created early last year after a lot of raving & playing. The melody continued to haunt me until I revisited it for the first time in the summer after a B2B with Tim Reaper and suddenly the song made total sense,” said Sherelle. She added: “It was a reflection of sleepless nights and touring. But also how easy it is to get lost in the spiral of raving. Once you are in, you are in. Happy to finally have this one out – it feels like a release finally.”
Depeche Mode Releases First Single From Upcoming Album ‘Memento Mori’
The first single off Depeche Mode’s new studio album is finally here! Titled ‘Ghosts Again,’ the English electronic band has also shared the music video for the track. The duo comprising Martin Gore and Dave Gahan unveiled the release date of their fifteenth studio album, ‘Memento Mori.’ Their new album will be out on March 24, 2023.
Depeche Mode are also set to tour in North America next month. The first leg of their Memento Mori World Tour commences on March 23 in Sacramento, California. Then the duo will head to San Jose (March 25), Los Angeles (March 28), Las Vegas (March 30), San Antonio (April 2), Chicago (April 5), Toronto (April 7), Quebec City (April 9), and Montreal (April 12) before the final date of this leg of the tour in New York on April 14. Charlotte de Witte Launches A Soy Sauce Brand
Charlotte de Witte has launched Tears of Joy, a soy sauce product. The Belgian DJ/producer took to Instagram to announce the launch of Tears Of Joy: “People who know me well know i have a slight addiction for soy sauce.. It’s in a very coincidental and spontaneous way that a couple of years ago, i got in touch with the people from @tomasusoysauce.”
“Together we have created a hop based soy sauce. A premium product that has a strong connection with the Belgian beer culture and Belgian heritage,” she added. ‘Tears Of Joy’ was launched at Flanders Expo.
Far Out Left Festival Was Held on Feb 10 and 11
Far Out Left, a thrilling electronic music festival was held at the Todi Alleyway in Mumbai, India on February 10 – 11. Outstanding Indian and international DJs/producers wowed the audience at the Far Out Left festival last weekend. Kiss Nuka, DJ/producer Watashi, Anthony Rother, Zequenx, and Naty Seres, were amongst some killer acts who were on the bill for Day 1.
Dotdat, Zokhuma, Polygonia, Wata Igarashi, American electronic musician, and DJ Matrixxman, and Jay Carder were also on the illustrious line-up. Far Out Left also hosted incredibly talented acts including Kohra, Tasha, DVS1, and Aurora Halal.
