Rezz, Quackson, Wreckno Release Hypnovizion’s First Release of 2023 With ‘Gyrate’

Canadian DJ Rezz’s newly formed label HypnoVizion has shared its first release of the year! Together with bass music artist Quackson and DJ/rapper Wreckno, the three artists joined forces to create the slinky track ‘Gyrate.’

“Rezz was the artist that really inspired me to pursue getting into producing after I saw her @shambhala_mf set in 2016, and to be able to make a tune with her is a crazy full circle moment,” wrote Quackson in an Instagram post after announcing the track. 

‘Nightmare On Rezz Street 2 Mix’ by Rezz was the inaugural release of HynpoVizion, followed by ‘i l4ove you’ EP by Isqa.

Diplo Releases New Music Under His Alias Thomas Wesley

Two years after releasing a project under the moniker Thomas Wesley, Diplo is back with a brand-new single featuring Kodak Black and Koe Wetzel ‘Wasted.’ This new project of his country music alias has been described as “the next chapter of Thomas Wesley” by Diplo himself. 

‘Diplo Presents Thomas Wesley Chapter 1: Snake Oil,’ released in 2020, was the last project under the alias. The 12-track album featured Jonas Brothers, Noah Cyrus, Julia Michaels, and Orville Pack, among others. It also included Diplo’s remix of Lil Nas X’s smash hit single, ‘Old Town Road.’

Delta Heavy Kick off 2023 With a New Single

The imperious drum & bass duo, Delta Heavy, have kicked off the new year with an energetic new single called ‘Against The Tide’ with Lauren L’aimant. Starting the tune with the trademark Delta Heavy intro that we have known them for, we are then greeted with Lauren L’aimant’s profound vocals that collide into a drop that is meant only and only for the dancefloor. 

Speaking exclusively with Ticket Fairy about their new single, Delta Heavy stated, “We collaborated with the amazingly talented Lauren L’aimant who provides the vocals. With this record, we were trying to combine a really energetic dancefloor drop with a deeper sounding intro and Lauren’s intimate vocal. It took a while to get right in the studio but we’re all very proud of the results!”

Nika D Brings the Big Guns on His Latest EP

The founding member of the famous rap & bass outfit Virus Syndicate, Nika D has released a solo EP called ‘Doors’ on the formative CRUCAST imprint. Featuring the intense wordplay Nika D is known for, the ‘Doors EP’ begins with its title track, highlighting the seminal flavors that the Manchester-based act has been championing for years. The title track is then followed by three smashing reworks of the EP opener from Livsey, Exile and Samplifire.

ILLENIUM Announces New Album and Tour Dates

Months after announcing the much-awaited news of his return with a new album, DJ/producer ILLENIUM has revealed the title and release date for his forthcoming record! Set to drop on April 28, the self-titled album ‘ILLENIUM’ will be his fifth studio LP. In anticipation of its release, the DJ has already shared a new song, ‘Luv Me A Little,’ featuring Nina Nesbitt.

“To me, a self titled album is the core sound of who I am. I see this album and its story as a prequel to the Trilogy, where I get to explore my original musical inspirations and blend something that truly feels fresh,” wrote ILLENIUM on his social media accounts, announcing the album. 

He also unveiled that he’d soon go on tour to support the record, with additional information spared. “It’s made to be played live, with a band, and we’re bringing it on a world tour this summer/fall. I’ll announce tour dates later this week!” he added.

‘Exhale USA’ will make two stops in the country in March 2023 with a double header, announcing ‘New cities, new sounds, one community.’ The two confirmed dates revealed are – New York on March 17, 2023, and Los Angeles on March 18, 2023. Community tickets and pre-line-up tickets are available for both dates now. The official line-up for the gig will be unveiled on January 24 for NYC and January 25 for LA. Iranian Artists Create an Electronic Music Compilation in Support of Women’s Rights Movement in Iran

AIDA and Nesa Azadikhah, Iranian DJs/producers and co-founders of newly formed Apranik Records, have released their first album on the label. Titled ‘Woman, Life, Freedom’ (or ‘Zan, Zendegi, Azadi’), the Various Artists compilation is created ‘in solidarity with the women-led revolution that is currently taking place in Iran’ and features 12 Iranian women artists.

The 12-track album is crafted by SarrSew, KUCHULU, MENTRIX, Roody, ROW92, Sharona Lico, Golbon Moltaji, Meshcut, XEEN, and Kimia Koochakzadeh-Yazdi, and also includes Apranik founders AIDA and Nesa Azadikhah. A statement shared by the creators on Bandcamp reads, “This collection, consisting of original music by all Iranian women artists, is dedicated to the recent uprising of people, especially the women in Iran who have endured silencing, censorship, and forced control over the past four decades.”
