Abstrakt
A sister venue to Anomalie Art Club, Abstrakt in Berlin comes in place of Mensh Meier, which closed its doors in December. “Dear community, friends and family: For the last year, we have been working on a dream that represented a lot of hard work, motivation and love. Even in globally harder times, we kept on going to manifest our vision into this world,” Anomalie Art Club shared on Instagram.
“Now a bigger door has opened.. a place where many visions combined together to create something even greater, better and magical. We are thrilled to celebrate our anniversary opening the doors of ANOMALIE DISTRIKT , where our freshly opened @abstrakt.berlin and @anomalieartclub combine to create one.”
“As Anomalie is already known for its big techno bookings, in Abstrakt we’ve curated a more playful experience with colourful dance floors, light installations and a more diverse music policy that includes house, disco, downtempo, trance and of course techno,” Irini Kefalas said to Resident Advisor. “We’ve also installed Funktion-One sound systems on every floor, and we aim to cultivate a bigger community where art, music, consistency and culture immerse together. Everyone can be part of it.”
