SLANDER’s New Music Festival Arrives in April 2025

Grammy-nominated American electronic DJ duo SLANDER teams up with music festival kingpins Insomniac to bring to life Starbase—a festival experience unlike any other.

Derek Anderson and Scott Land of SLANDER twine their signature melodic and bass rumblings with Insomniac’s elite production for an explosive two-day music festival at Lake Perris in Southern California. Penciled for April 25 and 26, 2025, this showcase will spew out oodles of dubstep, trap, and bass melodic bass, techno, underground techno, and more across three stages, with music scheduled to go on until sunrise.

Furthermore, the website brags about “no set time conflicts,” a unique and precious accessory to a music festival for attendees, in which SLANDER is set to feature five times as SLANDER, SLANDER B2B NGHTMRE, SLANDER B2B Dimension, and dawn-breaking sets on the beach as their techno moniker Before Dawn.

The full line-up consists of 39 artists, including the likes of A Hundred Drums (Gabrielle Watson), duo Body Ocean, FrostTop, Kill the Noise, Vastive, UK-based producer Mha Iri, Pauline Herr, SVDDEN DEATH, trio Wavedash, Skybreak, Space Laces, Nejvex, COPYCATT, and William Black, to name a few.

The campsite opens on April 24 and this pristine location offers multiple camping options (car, RV, tent, etc.) The festivities cranks loose with an exclusive Thursday night pre-party on-site for campers only, and then runs from 11 AM until sunrise during the following days.

The origins of Starbase date back to 2021, when the pair announced it was to be held on October 8 and 9, 2021, in Charleston, South Carolina. However, the event was subsequently canceled due to the pandemic.

Talking about Starbase, the duo conveyed via social media, “We can’t wait for you to witness the beauty of Lake Perris with us for a camping festival experience that will be truly out of this world!
