Continuing to spotlight LA-based media relations firm Global Asian Media & Entertainment’s impending Global Asian Moon Fest, below is a peak into the festival schedule billed as a “Re-Charge, Re-Center, Re-Connect” affair. The Autry Museum of the American West stage in Los Angeles will transform into a hub of music, comedy, workshops, wellness, food, influencer networking and more on September 20, 2024. Keeping with the themes of “harnessing the moon’s power to transform into our higher selves” and “celebrating Asian culture through wellness, spirituality, and creativity,” the halls of the Autry Museum of the American West will morph into a more dynamic and vibrant landscape showcasing a multitude of enchanting live performances. We list out a few notable artists and experts you can expect to engage with and live comedy by Joe Wong!
Up first is a serene sound bath session led by wellness practitioner Chaya Chao aimed at rejuvenating your energy and clearing one’s senses. The inaugural event will be followed by a Dao Calligraphy experience, courtesy of traditional medicine healer Winnie Wong. Artist, advocate, and owner of Hhuynh Gallery – Hieu Huynh, who is known for his artistic narratives conveying determination and redemption, brings his mastery to the fold by conducting a live painting workshop.
The limelight shifts to a more spirited skillset via martial artists JaNel Barlogo and Enele Ma’afu Tauteoli, who will present a demonstration of Silat and Filipino Martial Arts. The latter half of the evening whips up live performances from multifaceted artist Mystic Xu Inscho, comedian Bernice Ye, singer-songwriter Devyn Moon, vocalist Eugenia Tempesta, TikTok star McKenzi Brooke, musician Jack West, and four-piece hard-rock outfit Oceans Away.
The Lotus Bud Guzheng Ensemble, who ply their trade on the traditional Chinese stringed instrument Guzheng, are penciled in for a performance led by musician/composer Bei Bei Monter. A lively DJ set sweeps through the night concluding proceedings. The Wong Quadruplets, Allie McIntosh, Mila Nabours, Moxxy, Kristina Menissov, 101, Megan Soo, Style Infinite, and Peja are also tipped to make appearances.
In terms of the food and beverage offering, a slew of curated vendors are set to be on hand, offering scrumptious bites to attendees. The first-ever robot-powered Chinese restaurant in LA, Tigawok, stamps in their presence alongside the likes of Chef Chizuru’s anime food truck Okamoto Kitchen, MOOMMAAM Artisanal Thai Gelato, and more!
In the midst of the festivities, Joe Wong will take you on a joyous ride, offering a mix of English and Mandarin comedy. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to gather at Joe Wong’s shows and witness his cross-cultural humor. He’s known to appear on globally-known talk shows like ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ and ‘The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.’ Joe Wong’s one-hour Mandarin set is scheduled for 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM and his English set will take place from 8 PM – 9 PM.
Global Asian Moon Fest’s Creator Summit will run simultaneously alongside the fest, bringing leading talents and projects to assemble globally marketable intellectual properties, services, and products by sizing up keynotes, panel discussions, case studies and more.
