DJs Who Shared Christmas Mixes This Year

If you need some proficient hands to conduct the Christmas rhythm during the holidays, look no further. We have sourced an assortment of music from five impeccable artists who have uploaded their Christmas specials this year.

Regis Mello

LA-based Brazilian music producer and regular uploader of his numerous themed DJ sessions, Regis Mello invites you to ring in the festivities of Christmas and New Year with a DJ mix celebrating the Christmas classics revamped and reimagined as dance bops. Clocking in at an hour, Mello’s set sweeps through twists of ‘Jingle Bells,’ ‘Last Christmas,’ ‘Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree,’ ‘White Christmas’ and ‘Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town,’ to name a few.

Since this video release on December 16, 2024, it has amassed over 35K streams on YouTube, along with heaps of praise and seasonal greeting exchanges in the comments section. In a tidy form of interaction with viewers, the video is smartly produced with an intro segment, periodically rolling text banner with non-monetization details, Mello’s Spotify playlist QR codes, and occasional flashing text questioning viewers in English, Spanish, and Portuguese where they are listening or watching from.

Kitsch & SASH

Germany-based Julian and Sarah, collectively the DJ couple Kitsch & SASH, commenced their YouTube channel to share their love for electronic music with the world. For Christmas this year, the pair staged a
wholesome hour-and-a-half chill house DJ set amidst their close companions.

At first glance, the presentation looks like a toned-down boiler room session, deliciously infused with the merriment of the Noel season and sprinkled with dance sessions, ongoing food preparations, comfy conversations, and one show stealer donning a panda outfit. Selections piped out from their set include ‘That Magical Night’ from Shabi, Joe Corti’s ‘Let Me Tell You Why,’ and DJ Main’s take on Louie Vega and Cindy Mizelle’s ‘Christmas In New York.’

John B

Critics’ Choice winner at the 2022 Drum&BassArena Awards for his part drum & bass music and his creative live streams, DnB great John B powered through an eight-hour Christmas-themed live steam set on December 20, 2024. It populated the home page of the video live-streaming service Twitch and was one of John B’s longest live sessions online.

Ahead of the stream, John B confessed via social media, “It’s mad, you think eight hours -‘oh I am never going to fill that up,’- I honestly don’t know how I am going to squeeze in everything in, that I want to play. It is really important to me to play a good representative drum & bass set.” He further elaborated, “It’s kinda Christmas-themed thing, I’ve made loads and loads of special visuals I’ve been testing out last week or two that are all like Christmas-themed.”

Wearing a Santa Hat, John B positions himself in what looks like a warehouse with a huge screen behind him. His set courses through liquid drum & bass before jumping into some upbeat DnB tracks and bootlegs. The screen and visuals are littered with Christmassy pop culture references, including snippets from films such as The Terrifier, The Grinch, Home Alone, Jack Frost, Elf, and Die Hard.

Boris Brejcha

Swapping his trademark Venetian Joker mask and recent adventure aboard an Amsterdam tram is German DJ Boris Brejcha, who presented the tenth edition of his much-loved and always eagerly awaited Christmas mix. Stationed at a wooden cabin-type location, Boris is seen pushing buttons against a backdrop harboring a massive number 10 and stag horns mounted on the wall behind.

All tracks performed were written and produced by the high-tech minimal great and are currently unreleased. Midway through his set, a gentleman is spotted plastering a ‘Topkumpel’ sign on the wall, translating to ‘top pal’ or ‘great buddy’, likely a nod to Brejcha’s clothing line.

Talking about this Christmas mix, Brejcha expressed via social media, “I was really looking forward to this time of year, and here we are again. Everywhere is beautifully decorated and it smells of delicious Christmas cookies. And of course, one thing should not be missing. My Christmas mix. For me, it is a very special occasion because it is my tenth Christmas mix I am very happy about that. I hope you enjoy it and enjoy the Christmas season with your loved ones.”
