Punch M

Oscillating between the keyboard and console is music producer Neerad Sumeet, aka Punch M, who serves up scrumptious scoops of lo-fi, chill-hop, house, and disco music seasoned with lively 80s disco flashes. Neerad adopted the moniker Punch M as a tribute to legendary music composer RD Burman (fondly called Pancham) and his father, who played a pivotal role in his life.

A blues pianist by trade, Punch M initially learned music on the harmonium before moving to the keyboard and then onto production. Prior to the release of his mesmerizing four-track debut EP ‘Roots‘ (2024) and a string of single releases, Neerad would produce lo-fi concoctions from vintage Bollywood samples to introduce folks of his generation to this music.

In 2024, Punch M bagged slots supporting French DJ and electronic music producer Fakear, flanked rapper Yashraj at Gully Fest, and also performed at the second edition of PORT After Dark at G5A Mumbai.
