‘Walk with Ana’ is a noble event aiming to lend a helping hand to get the best treatment Ana can get. “On Waitangi day, I was in an accident which left me paralysed from the chest down. Medical professionals have told me that I may never walk again, but I’ve opted to not listen to these predictions. With the support of my family, my tipuna and my faith, I know my spinal cord will heal and I will walk again,” states Ana.
With the help of this event, Ana’s friends and her community of well-wishers have all joined forces for ‘Walk with Ana,’ wherein funds will be raised for a life-changing treatment for Ana. There is a fabulous medical team with Ana offering her the best care in New Zealand; however, access to the latest therapies and treatments overseas could enable Ana to walk again.
